Working here
There’s a reason we’ve been one of the UK’s most trusted brands for over 100 years. And that’s our people. We ensure our workplaces are inclusive and safe and support the people and communities we work with. We are rightly proud of the culture we create and whoever you are and wherever you work, you will be Always Ahead with us.
Supporting each other
- The AA Driving school supports over 6000 disabled people learning how to drive.
- Our chosen charity of the year is Cancer Research UK.
- The AA charitable trust consistently works to save lives on the road and reduce the environmental impact of vehicles.
- We’re a signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant and a holder of the Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award.
- We work with the 10K Interns Foundation, whose mission is ‘transforming the horizons and prospects of young people’.
Diversity and Inclusion
When it comes to D&I, we don’t just talk the talk. Our Balance network pioneered a maternity leave buddy scheme to support returning mums; our Origins network ensured we became Race at Work Charter signatories; our Pride network helped us update our sexual orientation and gender identity options; and our Ability network introduced the Hidden Sunflower Disability Sunflower logos schemes across the business.
We have five Employee Network Groups, sponsored by
senior leaders. They are open to everyone, whether you
want to become an active ally, or just want to learn more
and show your support.
- Origins – for all multi-faith and minority ethnic colleagues and allies to come together.
- Pride – for LGBTQ+ community and allies. Everyone deserves to feel included and accepted at work.
- Balance – addressing gender balance and inclusivity. We want to achieve gender balance across The AA.
- Carers – for people with a caring responsibility.
- Ability – for people with visible and invisible disabilities.
