Our Digital team are on the hunt for a Senior UX Researcher to help shape the future of customer experience across our digital platforms. You’ll lead research initiatives that inform product decisions across multiple value streams, ensuring that user needs are at the heart of everything we do. This is a hands-on, strategic role where your insights will directly influence the design and delivery of services used by millions.

What will I be doing?

  • Lead and deliver end-to-end research projects across multiple digital products and value streams, applying a range of qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Shape and prioritise the research roadmap in alignment with business goals, insight gaps, and high-impact opportunities.
  • Generate and communicate actionable insights through clear, compelling storytelling tailored to diverse audiences and stakeholders.
  • Champion user-centred design by embedding research into product development and advocating for customer needs throughout the lifecycle.
  • Mentor and support junior researchers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing research culture.
  • Drive innovation in research practices, including the use of unmoderated testing tools and exploring AI to enhance research efficiency and impact.

What do I need?

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Strong demonstrable experience within User Experience Research (not UX Design).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and switch contexts seamlessly.
  • Proficient in unmoderated testing tools such as UserTesting or UserZoom.
  • Experience with coaching/mentoring team members and passionate to share knowledge/skills with others.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience engaging and influencing stakeholders, with the ability to challenge assumptions, offer alternatives and clarify requirements.
  • Open to exploring and adopting AI tools to enhance research practices.

Desirable:

  • Experience with tools like Miro, Jira, and Optimal Workshop.
  • Familiarity with ethnographic studies, experience mapping, and customer journey mapping.
