We are looking for a Data Service Delivery Manager to lead and support our data engineering operations. You will be instrumental in ensuring the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of our data services and platforms. This role is central to our ambition to make data our superpower.
Please note this is a 9-month fixed term contract.
What will I be doing?
- Manage data service performance, including SLAs and service reviews.
- Build strong relationships with business stakeholders to ensure effective communication and service alignment.
- Lead incident and problem management processes, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement.
- Act as the primary interface during major incidents, coordinating between business and IT operations.
- Drive service improvement initiatives and own service improvement plans.
- Collaborate with technology partners (e.g., Azure, Databricks, Informatica) to ensure optimal platform performance and support.
- Champion best practices in data service management and contribute to the evolution of our data ecosystem.
What do I need?
- Proven experience in data service delivery or a similar role, with strong experience specifically within data environments, including ETL landscape exposure.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with a track record of working effectively with senior leaders (e.g., Directors, Heads of Department).
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow, including incident management, reporting, and service performance tracking.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms and modern data technologies such as Azure, Databricks, and Informatica.
- Demonstrated ability to manage change and drive continuous service improvement while balancing delivery speed with long-term technical sustainability.
- Collaborative and adaptable mindset, with a commitment to best practices in service delivery.
