The Demand Analyst plays a critical supporting role within the Demand & Roadmap team which forms part of the Portfolio function, working closely with the Demand & Roadmap Manager to ensure a clear, transparent, and strategically aligned pipeline of work and projects across the AA.
This role will help analyse &; manage the Single Front Door intake process, support the creation and maintenance of the quarterly roadmap, and provide data-driven insights to optimise demand management and value delivery.
What will I be doing?
- Intake & Assessment Support:
- Assist in managing the Single Front Door process by capturing, logging, and tracking all incoming change, demand, and initiative requests from across the AA.
- Liaise with Engineering team demand contacts to work through what & where the ownership of the demand should .
- Undertake analysis & assessments looking at demand and subsequent impact on COO teams, and review against strategic alignment to ascertain a priority ordering and maintain demand status moving it through in preparation to kick off as part of a Gate 0 in a defined quarter.
- Liaise with requestors to clarify requirements and gather additional information as .
- Collect, analyse, and interpret demand data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders and leaders.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand, capacity, and delivery commitments.
- Support and work with the Demand & Roadmap Manager in maintaining the quarterly planned roadmap, ensuring data accuracy and timely updates.
- Track dependencies, risks, and changes impacting the roadmap.
- Coordinate with the Resourcing team to validate demand and capacity information.
- Working with COO stakeholders to ensure the demand gets to the right place, in the right time with the right people assigned to it.
- Assist in the prioritisation and sequencing of demand items based on business value, capacity, and strategic alignment.
- Document rationale for prioritisation decisions and maintain transparent records.
- Identify and recommend continuous improvements to demand management processes, tools, and templates.
- Support the implementation of process enhancements to drive efficiency and consistency.
What do I need?
- Three A-Levels with grades BBC or above
- At least 5 GCSE’s at grades 4-9 (C or above), including English Language and Computer Science or Maths.
- Equivalent qualifications are accepted.
