This is the job
Are you ready to shape the future of personal finance products? We're looking for a Credit Risk Product Owner to take the lead in driving the success of our savings and loan offerings. This is your chance to make a real impact in a fast-paced, data driven environment.
You’ll work closely with NatWest on pricing and credit strategies, using data insights to refine our online sales funnel and increase conversion rates. Your decisions will be backed by robust management information (MI), helping to steer business growth.
If you have a background in Credit Risk and are keen to move into a more commercially focused role, this is the perfect next step. You’ll gain exposure to strategic decision-making and play a key role in shaping our product performance.
What will I be doing?
- Collaborate with NatWest to shape a high-performing sales funnel, using your Credit Risk expertise to challenge underwriting strategies and improve conversion rates.
- Identify key decline and referral reasons in the credit process and develop strategies to reduce friction and boost approvals.
- Align pricing and credit performance by working closely with the Head of Banking to strengthen our competitive position, no direct pricing experience needed.
- Review the full application journey to spot friction points and recommend data-backed improvements that enhance user experience and performance.
- Own the roadmap for credit and conversion enhancements, ensuring continuous optimisation and value delivery.
- Optimise customer selection on price comparison sites and support the integration of new features in partnership with NatWest.
- Lead trading updates with insights from structured MI, using data to highlight opportunities and drive business performance.
- Champion customer outcomes by ensuring product decisions are shaped by customer needs, feedback, and satisfaction metrics.
- Solve complex problems with sound judgement and creative thinking, always looking for ways to improve processes and results.
- Develop commercial insight by analysing key performance metrics and financial data to support strategic decision-making and business growth.
What do I need?
- Background in Banking or Financial Services, with experience in Credit Risk preferred. Strong product managers from similar sectors will also be considered.
- Excellent project management skills, with a methodical and highly organised approach to delivering work on time and to a high standard.
- Resilient under pressure, able to maintain accuracy and focus while managing multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
- Strong commercial awareness, with a high level of numeracy and the ability to understand and interpret key business drivers.
- Confident analysing data, identifying trends and opportunities to inform strategic decisions and improve performance.
- Collaborative mindset, with proven ability to work effectively across teams and manage stakeholders at all levels.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Proactive and solutions-focused, always looking for ways to improve processes and deliver better outcomes.
