This is the job

Join our growing Mobile App & Engagement product team to shape, deliver, and optimise Mobile App features and propositions for the AA’s 3.3 million app users. We have multi-year investment to develop our core mobile app, and we are looking for an experienced Product Owner to shape the roadmap and deliver exceptional app experiences, propositions, and features.

The mobile app is central to our Chief Digital Office strategy to drive more engagement from AA members, deepen their relationships with us, and increase self-serve across our base. You will play a critical role in ensuring alignment between business stakeholders and delivering meaningful change to customers and the business.

What will I be doing?

  • Support the Senior Product Manager in developing priorities and backlog in line with business priorities, making trade-offs, and ensuring the delivery team understands the backlog of work.
  • Work with multi-disciplined Feature teams to shape, deliver, and optimise new features on time and within budget.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to keep them engaged and informed of progress, including organising and leading internal demos, retrospectives, backlog grooming, and refinement sessions.
  • Use data and customer feedback to inform direction and leverage analytics to measure the efficiency of both user-facing features and platform performance.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for the product area, bridging the gap between customer, business, and digital delivery teams.
  • Drive adoption of the AA app and relevant digital journeys, working with operational, digital, and marketing teams.

What do I need?

  • Digital Expertise: Strong understanding of digital product management, especially in app and web technologies. Proven track record in transforming customer journeys.
  • Effective Communicator: Dynamic and adaptable, able to influence without authority and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Commercial Insight: Identifies opportunities and issues, balancing technical capabilities with consumer and business needs.
  • Data-Driven: Skilled in interpreting data and digital performance trends. Familiar with Scrum, Kanban, and digital tools.
  • Customer Focus: Deep understanding of customer behaviours and user-centric design. Excellent UX sensitivity.
  • Team Player: Embodies AA Brand Values, flexible, organised, and detail oriented. Strong team player, ready to get involved.
