Are you passionate about using advanced mathematical and analytical methods to solve business problems and drive better decision-making?

As a Data Insight Analyst, you’ll play a crucial role in our Data Insight team, providing comprehensive management information, analytics, and business modelling services to enhance the cost-effectiveness of our business. You will be responsible for producing applied analytics, evaluating trials, developing sophisticated mathematical models, and interpreting results to assist senior management in decision-making. Additionally, you will utilise statistical analysis and business models to assess the consequences of different actions and implement practical mathematical algorithms within business processes.

We are looking for someone with strong knowledge of computer systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to bring forward new ideas and insights. If you are ready to make a significant impact and help us drive our business forward, we would love to hear from you!

What will I be doing?

  • Devise and develop sophisticated decision support systems to aid strategic and tactical decision-making for senior and operational management.
  • Design and conduct presentations and training courses on new computer models, ensuring all management and staff are well-versed in new systems and providing ongoing user support.
  • Develop simulation and general business models to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements for business performance.
  • Initiate projects to assess business performance, propose changes in working practices to senior management, and play a major role in the implementation process.
  • Provide comprehensive analytical services to all levels of management, identifying trends, highlighting problem areas, and recommending solutions to improve business performance.
  • Review management information reporting and statistical analysis to ensure it meets customer requirements, recommending changes to meet the evolving needs of the business.

What do I need?

  • Strong working experience utilising SQL and multiple databases.
  • Strong knowledge of applied operational research methodologies.
  • Experience in statistical computing tools such as R and SAS.
  • Solid understanding of computer modelling techniques, including machine learning, statistical modelling, experiment design, and optimisation.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with management.
