Systems Consultant

We have a large team of Systems Consultants at the AA. They work on complex and large-scale application changes, as well as ongoing maintenance and support. To become one yourself, you'll need to be able to deliver IT change programmes from beginning to end. Expect plenty of projects, plus and post implementation support of applications - covering everything from analysis, design and build, to testing, implementation and project management.

You'll want to keep developing and we've a range of training programmes to help you develop and keep your skills sharp. Occasionally, some IT projects may need to be worked on when no-one's using the systems, so you might need to work out of hours on occasions.

What are we looking for?

You'll need to have an understanding of project lifecycles and how they can be applied. Ideally you'll have experience of software development methodology. We're looking for someone who can explain our complex systems to other people in simple terms.
