Road Sales & Marketing
The AA Marketing teams deliver a critical contribution to the achievement of business targets. The focus on customer acquisition and retention has increased holdings of one of the nation's most respected brands. Our people work across a range of disciplines including strategy, customer insight, research, marketing communications, product management, and e-commerce. The teams, of whom the majority are based at the AA's head office in Basingstoke, include Retention, Acquisition, Customer Strategy and Insight, PR and Research.
Customer contact
The Cheadle contact centre is a fully integrated part of the membership marketing team. The site houses our in-bound sales teams, member retention, service and care teams. Whether a customer is joining for the first time or has a longer standing relationship, the staff at Cheadle, are passionate about providing an excellent experience of the AA.
Cheadle is a great environment for people who are customer focused and friendly and want to do a great job. With our training, support and development we help our staff to really understand the customer's needs and to work with them to match the appropriate product or service.
Gaining insight
Achieving growth is a key focus for the AA. To realise this, customer insight and market research play a major part in ensuring a sound fact-base and greater understanding of customers and prospects. This includes detailed monitoring and understanding of our competitors, our brand and business performance.
The Customer Strategy and Insight team is responsible for developing and using this information to create and enhance our customer-focused products and services within the AA Breakdown Cover business area.
Acquisition, development, retention and win-back marketing programmes for each AA product area use data and insight developed from the AA's customer data warehouse, and these are applied across a variety of channels.
Opportunities
Through a strong relationship with the contact centre, AA Marketeers are able to influence the end-to-end process of marketing, from advertising to sale to fulfillment. So, this requires a full range of positions from senior marketing managers, direct-sales managers, call-center administrators to marketing co-ordinators.
