Join an AA contact centre as a Customer Advisor, and you'll let your personality come to the fore, helping millions of people get the best out of doing business with the AA.
Whichever area of the business you join, it will be up to you to build a rapport with the customer. This could be in sales, legal, claims, emergency breakdown or general customer services. We'll set you a range of targets, which will be challenging but achievable. You'll be an information point, a problem-solver and salesperson all rolled into one, and you'll respond to the customer via various media, including phone, email and web.
So what are we looking for? Customer-service experience or understanding, and a flair for sales, naturally. But also literacy, numeracy and IT skills, and, most important of all, the kind of personality people instantly warm to.
Customer Relations Advisor
This role is all about maintaining smooth relations with our customer base so that we can maintain the impressive retention figures that make this, such a successful organisation. Using your blend of organisation, problem-solving and data-analysis skills, you'll be right at the heart of the action.
You'll provide a professional, high-quality service handling queries and complaints to a wide variety of people. This will entail interpreting, processing and resolving correspondence from customers, members and third parties, relating to AA products and services. Recording the root causes of any complaints will also be very important so that over a period of time, we'll be able to spot and respond to any trends that emerge.
Excellent communication skills are taken as read. You'll also need a real team focus, the ability to manage your own caseload and the resilience to tackle whatever each day brings.
