On 29 June 1905, a group of motoring enthusiasts formed the Automobile Association to help motorists avoid police speed traps. The initial 100 members now stand at over 15 million. As our membership expanded, so did our activities. Take a closer look at how we got to where we are today.
We have more than 7,000 employees. Our employees do a wide variety of specialist roles that give our customers the support and care that they need. No one likes it when their vehicle can't be fixed at the roadside, but this is where our Recovery Patrols save the day. We are looking for calm, friendly individuals with the skills to safely transport our members and their vehicles from A to B whilst providing reassurance - and some good conversation!
